YEREVAN. – The entire Armenian nation must unite in the fight for international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said addressing lawmakers in parliament on Tuesday.

Despite existing differences with opposition on many issues, it is difficult to imagine that someone will challenge the accuracy of Genocide recognition policy.

“Similar differences are shattering the statehood. It was the way Armenia lost statehood in the fifth century. We must remember the lessons of history and never forget that we have common homeland. We have no right to divide it,” he said.
