YEREVAN. – Armenia entered 2015 with unresolved and growing problems, whereas 2014 was unprecedented in terms of the coming together of the country’s political forces.
Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP and ex-FM Vartan Oskanian noted the above-said speaking at Thursday’s PAP-organized joint conference of the non-governmental political forces and the NGOs of Armenia.
In Oskanian’s words, “Last year joined several political forces, which united around the people’s demand for a change in power.”
“Armenia’s authorities don’t try to change anything in the country, since they don’t want to harm their interests. The country’s political forces are monopolized,” the PAP deputy stated.
Reflecting on Armenia’s foreign policy, the ex-foreign minister noted that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue had never been in such an impasse as it is now.
“The projects with neighboring Iran have remained on paper. We [, Armenia,] have lost the respect of Russia and the trust of the West.
“The only way out [of this situation] is a change in power; the people’s patience has run out,” Vartan Oskanian said.
