YEREVAN. – Change of regime in Armenia must not grow into Maidan or Arab Spring in Armenia, deputy chairman of Heritage party Armen Martirosyan said.

“We will not have the second chance to change regime, but we should not permit a Maidan or processes resembling Arab Spring,” Martirosyan said during a congress of non-government political forces.

Speaking about foreign policy, Armen Martirosyan, once again reminded that Armenia had not officially withdrawn signature from the Armenian-Turkish protocols. According to Martirosyan, Gyumri events -- murder of the Avetisyan family --  showed that there are no de facto authorities in Armenia.

Therefore, in his opinion, the people of Armenia must quickly get rid of the ruling party.

Martirosyan believes that it should occur before April 24 so that “legitimately elected government could welcome guests who are arriving to take part in the events marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide”.
