An ad has appeared about the renting of Hungarian village of Megyer, which is located 180 kilometers southwest of capital city Budapest.
According to the advertisement, people can now rent out the entire village for €700 a day.
This initiative belongs to village mayor Kristof Pajer, Moya Planeta reported. Seventeen people are registered in this parish.
According to the village mayor, this project aims to draw attention to the “dying” community, where now solely five out of the twenty homes have permanent residents.
By putting the village up for rent, Pajer hopes to save it from “dying,” since the village youth have left this rural community long time ago and settled in the capital city, or abroad.
