YEREVAN. – New Mayor of Abobyan Vahagn Gevorgyan has no plans to join any political party.
“I have never been a member of any party, and I do not plan to join,” he told reporters on Thursday.
Vahagn Gevorgyan, aide of Gagik Tsarukyan, won the Sunday mayoral elections. Gevorgyan's candidacy was supported by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
