YEREVAN. – The 16th meeting of the Armenia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was convened on Friday. 

The event was moderated by co-chairs of the commission, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan of Armenia and Transportation Minister Maksim Sokolov of Russia.

First, Abrahamyan and Sokolov delivered welcoming remarks. 

Subsequently, the discussants specifically conferred on the avenues for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, interregional cooperation, and the ways for expanding the legal and contractual framework between the two countries. 

They also reflected on the prospects for and programs of collaboration in several domains. 

At the end of the event, Hovik Abrahamyan and Maksim Sokolov signed the protocol of the 16th meeting of the Armenia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
