YEREVAN. - Several thousands of participants of the 6th Pan-Armenian Games today visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex “Tsitsernakaberd” and paid tribute to the victims of that crime against humanity.
Executive body members and sportsmen of the Pan-Armenian Games laid flowers at the eternal fire and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims. The participants of the Games also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and familiarized themselves with the exposition of the museum’s sports division.
“The Pan-Armenian Games symbolize triple unity: Armenia-Diaspora-Karabakh. We shouldn’t forget that the young men who visited Tsitsernakaberd belong to the generation of our people, who survived the Genocide,” Ishkhan Zakaryan, Chairman of the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games (WCPAG) told Armenian News – NEWS.am.
By the end of the visit, Zakharyan left a note in the memory book of the museum.
