PACE will send observation mission for parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, PACE President Anne Brasseur said during a briefing on Monday, adding that the decision was made today.

PACE decided to maintain mission to Azerbaijan. knowing that OSCE/ODIHR cannot participate and that human rights situation is deteriorating, she said and admitted that positions on the matter are quite divided.

“We have to urge Azerbaijani authorities to change approach to human rights,” she added.
