YEREVAN. – French language is an additional window opening Armenia for the rest world, Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie Michaëlle Jean said in Yerevan.

The Secretary-General said she had met with professors of French language earlier on Monday.

“This is not only about the language, it gives an opportunity to communicate with the world with the help of French. This gives Armenia an additional value,” she added.

The 31st meeting of the OIF Ministerial Conference was held in Yerevan on October 10-11. Foreign ministers of the eighty OIF member and observer countries from five continents were invited. Five resolutions, three of them initiated by Armenia and one related to prevention of genocides, have been adopted during the forum.
