YEREVAN. – The head of the Union of Armenians of Russia plans to create a political party to participate in the parliamentary elections, Ara Abrahamyan himself told reporters in Yerevan on Wednesday.

The final decision will be made by next March, he said, adding that he has two options either to create a party or to join any other political force.

“The matter is participation in the parliamentary elections, it is not about becoming a PM or a president. I am worried about ideology, of course. If the party wants to win, it must have a clear ideology,” Abrahmyan said.

Taking into account his experience, Abrahamyan decided to form a program “that will help Armenia and the Armenian people.”

“I have discussed the matter with the president. He said calmly: 'If you have projects, start working on them, why not',” Abrahamyan added.
