YEREVAN. – The main problem in investigating the incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and Line of Contact is that there are no clear mechanisms which will determine the source of the escalation of tension.

The German Ambassador to Armenia, Bernhard Matthias Kiesler, told the abovementioned to reporters on Thursday. He stated this in response to a query on why the international community does not condemn the Azerbaijani aggression.

The ambassador noted that it is very important to ease the tension.

“It’s very important that the parties return to a former state, where the talks could start from,” Kiesler added.

In the German diplomat’s view, talks at the level of presidents and senior officials are very important in terms of easing this tension.
