YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is in Kazakhstan on a working visit, on Friday participated in the meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of State.
Around twenty documents were signed at the event, the Press Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The presidents of the CIS countries discussed integration cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth.
In addition, the discussants paid special attention to ensuring security, and underscored the need for respective collaboration.
The leaders of the CIS countries also signed several international agreements.
Furthermore, they approved the concept for military cooperation until 2020.
The CIS presidents also focused on the avenues for making humanitarian cooperation grow deeper.
