YEREVAN. – Additional assistance needs to be rendered to countries that assume an obligation to accept refugees.
Head of the National Assembly of Armenia Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA), Koryun Nahapetyan, told the aforesaid to reporters on Monday. He stated this commenting on the results of the recent NATO PA annual session, which was convened this year in Stavanger, Norway.
Nahapetyan recalled that Armenia has already taken in about 17,000 refugees from Syria.
“Our recommendations were considered reasonable and accepted without any disagreement,” he added.
