Annual fundraising event organized by “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund in cooperation with the Embassy of Armenia in Canada took place in Toronto, Canada.

The evening was attended by the Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese His Grace Bishop Apkar Hovakimian, members of clergy, social and political figures, journalists and various representatives of the Armenian community. The evening’s honorary guest was the priest of Dadivank Monastery and previously Gandzasar Monastery, Reverend Father Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, who in his speech recalled episodes from the Artsakh Liberation War.

In his speech, Ambassador Yeganyan stressed that the Armenian nation has its unique input not only in the development of its homeland, but also in that of many countries of the world, and that Armenia and Artsakh have recorded great achievements in many different spheres. “Attaching great importance to the work of “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, let me underline the success of its Toronto Chapter, which has been showcasing its strength, endurance and the ability to achieve higher grounds for many years”, the Ambassador said.

The record-breaking amount of over $700.000 raised during the evening will be directed at the implementation of a number of important projects in Artsakh.
