The Presidents of Russia and Syria, Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad, had long talks in Moscow on Tuesday evening.

The Russian President’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, told the aforementioned to reporters.

“President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar al-Assad, visited Moscow on a working visit last night,” said the Kremlin representative.

In his words, the Russian and Syrian leaders first had a private talk, and subsequently, the talks continued in a more extended format.

“The talks were fairly long,” Peskov noted, reported TASS news agency of Russia. “It is fully clear on what topics.”

The Russian president’s press secretary, however, did not respond to the query as to what were the specific results of these talks.
