President of Russia Vladimir Putin discussed situation ion Syria in a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Putin informed Turkey's leader about his meeting with Syria's Bashar Assad, spokesperson for Russian president Dmitry Peskov said.

The spokesperson said the leaders had a discussion on situation in Syria, and in this context Russian president informed his counterpart of the results of the visit of Syria's Assad to Moscow, TASS reported.
