Four of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army servicemen who were wounded in the recent shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces, and who were receiving treatment at the military hospital in Martakert town in the NKR, have been discharged and sent to maternal care.

The hospital representatives informed the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The patients at us had minor injuries,” they added. “Therefore, all of them will return to [their military] service.”

But six other wounded soldiers are still being treated at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Central Clinical Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan. It is still unclear whether they will return to military duty.

On September 25, the Azerbaijani armed forces shelled one of the northeastern protection areas of the NKR Defense Army unit. The fire was opened from Turkish-made reactive rocket propelled howitzers (TR-107). Consequently, four NKR Defense Army soldiers died from shrapnel wounds, whereas sixteen others suffered wounds.

And NKR President Bako Sahakyan had signed decrees, whereby the fallen soldiers were posthumously awarded with the Medal for Military Service.
