YEREVAN. – Vietnam is interested in the development of cooperation with Armenia, Assistant Foreign Minister Vu Quang Minh said during a Yerevan-hosted forum.

Armenia and Vietnam are situated far from each other, but despite distance Hanoi is developing ties  with Yerevan and multilateral cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union, Vu Quang Minh said during the international forum of MGIMO graduates.

“On May 29 after almost two years of talks, Vietnam signed an agreement on free trade area with the Eurasian Economic Union that is of strategic importance for Vietnam and will increase trade turnover,” the official said.
