Concert in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will take place Sunday in the U.S. city of Worcester, Massachusetts.

The representatives of the local Armenian community, as well as two children's choirs will perform with the local choir “The Master Singers of Worcester.”

Moreover, the young singers will perform several works in Armenian, local website telegram.com reports.

During Sunday service at the church, Archbishop Aykazian will consecrate a replica of an icon of the "Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide." The icon was unveiled during a canonization service on April 23 at Holy Etchmiadzin cathedral in Armenia.  

Worcester is famous for one of the oldest Armenian communities in the U.S. The Armenian Church of Our Savior was built in the city in 1890, being consecrated in 1891.  It is the first Armenian church built in the Western hemisphere.
