Information was received Saturday at 08:30 a.m. that a car accident took place nearby Arpi village in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor province. Several people were injured and the help of rescuers was needed.  

A group of rescuers was dispatched to the scene.

As it turned out, Moskvich 412 (license plate number 34 TF 696) skidded off the road on the 110th km of Yerevan-Meghri motorway and fell into Arpa river in yet unknown circumstances.  

Before the arrival of the rescuers and firemen, the driver A.P. (b. 1975) and passenger M.M. (b. 1986) were brought out of the car and taken to Yeghegnadzor town medical center.
