YEREVAN. – According to the results of this year’s social opinion poll of the Integration Barometer research program, 86.1 percent of the 1,105 respondents in Armenia consider Russia to be Armenia’s friendship country, 30.3 percent say the same about France, and 29. 6 percent—regarding Georgia.

President of the “Armenian Marketing Association” NGO, Aram Navasardyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Saturday.

Navasardyan added that more than 9 percent of these respondents believe that Armenia’s friendship country is the US, over 7 percent say this about Germany, more than 5 percent—regarding Ukraine, over 4 percent—with respect to Belarus, above 2 percent—concerning China and Kazakhstan, and over 1 percent—about India, Great Britain, and Moldova.

The Middle East countries, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, however, constitute the lowest respective percentage.

On the other hand, 8.3 percent of the respondents believe that Armenia does not have friendship countries.
