YEREVAN. - Armenia will facilitate the procedure of appealing the credit history in banks. Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Nerses Yeritsyan stated the aforementioned in the parliament, introducing the bill on amendments to the Law “On Financial Ombudsman” and accompanying bills.
Under the law in action, clients cannot appeal the changes in their credit history if this hasn’t been agreed in their agreement with the bank or credit organization.
Now the complaint can be referred to the Ombudsman or ACRA Credit Bureau. They must accept the complaint free of charge and, if it is substantiated, force the bank to correct the data, Yeritsyan said.
The complaints may refer to the change of credit category without notifying the client.
