Andrés Moreno, who was considered the world’s fattest man, passed away in Ciudad Obregón, Mexico.
The 38-year-old man died of a heart attack and an aggravation of peritonitis.
Moreno’s relatives said he lost his life in the ambulance.
In late October, Andrés Moreno, who weighed 440kg, had agreed to undergo a surgery that would have enabled him to lose 90 percent of his weight within a year.
The surgery at the Guadalajara hospital went with success.
But in mid-November, he underwent an emergency surgery at the hospital in Ciudad Obregón, and, subsequently, he was transferred to the Guadalajara hospital.
Earlier in December, Moreno was discharged from hospital.
