YEREVAN. – The American government is pleased to collaborate with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia, in the fight against corruption.

US Ambassador Richard Mills on Wednesday stated the above-said at his talk with Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan of Armenia.

The office of the attorney general informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the Prosecutor General noted that combating corruption has been and remains a priority of the Armenian attorney general’s office.

In addition, Kostanyan underscored the exchange of respective track-record, considering the peculiarities of the Armenian and American laws.

At the ensuing talk, they discussed the procedures for detecting corruption crimes.

Ambassador Mills said the visits by experts will enable to exchange views on how this most serious problem can jointly be resolved.

The interlocutors conferred also on bilateral cooperation.
