YEREVAN. – We cannot say that the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is not established, economist Aza Mihranyan (Moscow) said at a discussion on Thursday.

In her view, the agreement signed toward the creation of the EEU is more framework-based at present, and sectoral market unification will take place.

“The EEU’s task today is not to accelerate the processes, but rather to remove the trade barriers, [and] create a single market for services,” Mihranyan added. “In a crisis, this could enable the economies of the EEU countries to come out of the situation.”

The Eurasian Economic Union members are Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
