YEREVAN. - The People’s Republic of Bangladesh will for the first time have an ambassador to Armenia. The newly-appointed Ambassador Jashim Uddin (residence in Athens) today extended the copies of his credentials to Armenia’s Deputy FM Sergey Manasaryan.

The Deputy FM highly appreciated the decision of the Bangladesh authorities to appoint their first ambassador to Armenia, Armenia’s MFA press-service reports.

Sergey Manasaryan expressed hope that the Ambassador will make an important contribution to the formation and expansion of bilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador noted that during his office he will exert maximal efforts for the development of relations between Armenia and Bangladesh.

During the meeting, Sergey Manasaryan and Ambassador Uddin touched on a wide scope of issues related to the political, economic, educational and cultural cooperation. In this context, the sides stressed the importance of holding reciprocal visits, as well as the cooperation in the framework of international institutions.
