YEREVAN. – The Minister of State for Development and Francophonie of France, Annick Girardin, on Saturday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The French official placed flowers near the Eternal Flame in memory of the innocent victims of the first genocide of the 20th century. 

Also, she toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and signed its guestbook.

“I’m here to once again send a message to the historical and cultural ties of the Armenian-French friendship,” Girardin stressed. “And we are here to stress that France has always supported Armenia, and it will continue to stand with it.”
