YEREVAN. - The leading experts of the National Expertise Bureau of Armenia are again participating in a cycle of webinars (spacebridges) with their colleagues from the American Society of  Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD).

Lana Mhstetsyan, representative of the National Bureau of Expertise, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The National Bureau experts first took part in the webinars in 2014. The first webinar, which was attended by two dozens of leading specialists of the organization, took place on 22 January 2014. The cooperation with the ASCLD colleagues in the framework of webinars also continued in 2015. From January 14 to February 18 of this year, the webinars will be held each week, the topics including ballistics, toxicology, substances subject to control, IT, hidden traces and DNA. Two of the six mentioned webinars, which aim to train the directors and leaders of subdivisions, have already taken place. In the framework of each webinar, two reporters present through slides general information on each area, methodology and technology analysis used in carrying out expertise, as well as outlines on each topic of the webinars.  Apart from this, clarifications on specialist issues of administrative nature, which the experts of the institution may face, will also be presented.

The fruitful cooperation with the ASCLD, including through the participation in thematic webinars, will continue during 2016 - both in the present cycle and in the framework of other webinars organized by one of the leading U.S. research institutes, RTI International.

In fact, Director of the National Bureau of Expertise, Artashes Javadyan, is the only fully-fledged member of ASCLD in CIS.
