YEREVAN. - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will help carry out road construction in the other cities of the republic besides capital Yerevan.  

First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan said the aforementioned in the parliament today, introducing the Sustainable Urban Development Investment Program 2, which includes $112 mln 960,000.

According to Program 1 and 2, bypass passage is being constructed round Yerevan so that the heavy duty trucks travelling from the south to the north of the republic, or via transit from Iran to Georgia by the North-South Highway constructed now, don’t have to enter the capital.  

The third program includes road projects in other cities of the republic. Already now the ADB and the government are selecting cities for which corresponding projects will be developed.
