YEREVAN. – Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, supports each and every positive element in any speech by the president of the country, and believes that President Serzh Sargsyan is devoted to any effort aimed at the development of Armenia. 

Świtalski on Monday told the above-said to reporters.

Reflecting on the President’s most recent address, he noted that they have issued a statement and called on Armenia’s government and opposition parties to consider the recommendations by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and the need to include these recommendations in the new Electoral Code of the country.

The EU ambassador added that they will support any respective efforts by the Armenian President, government and all interested parties, and that these efforts shall be a unique national consensus.

On February 12, President Serzh Sargsyan announced that major rearrangements and redistribution of power will be implemented within the branches of power in Armenia, and by the year 2018.
