YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU) and Armenia have agreed not to speak about the deadlines for the signing of the bilateral comprehensive framework agreement.

Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, on Monday told about the aforesaid to reporters.

Reflecting on the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter’s query on the course of the respective Armenia-EU talks, the ambassador noted that he attended the first phase of these negotiations, the second phase is now in progress, and that this is a good start.

Świtalski noted that even though there are no commitments to complete these negotiations within a specific time frame, both parties want to do everything quickly.

As per the EU ambassador, the schedule on the negotiation phase is agreed until the end of the year, and therefore they have a work plan until that time.

The Armenia-EU talks on a comprehensive framework agreement began on December 7, 2015 in Brussels.
