YEREVAN. – In 2016, tourists from Armenia will start to be taken to the Canary Islands.

Representative of the Union of Incoming Tour Operators of Armenia, Vladimir Gevorgyan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday. 

“In July and August, the tour operators of the country will organize charter flights to Las Palmas; this is a new destination for us,” Gevorgyan said. “[But] it will be a bit expensive as compared to the traditional [Armenian tourist] destinations, [and] primarily due to the [long] distance.

“The cost for a 7- to 10-day trip for two people could start from 2,000 euros. Of course it’s a bit expensive, but it promises a lot of interesting things.”
