YEREVAN. – Armen Sargsyan, who is completing his mission as the Ambassador of Armenia to China, on Wednesday had a farewell talk with Rashid Alimov, the new Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the SCO Secretary General thanked Ambassador Sargsyan for his great contribution to SCO-Armenia cooperation, and wished him more success in his future activities.

The Armenian diplomat, for his part, congratulated Alimov for assuming the office of SCO Secretary General. He noted that collaboration with this prestigious international organization is in Armenia’s interests, and expressed the hope that Armenia-SCO relations will grow deeper. 

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors conferred on partnership cooperation between Armenia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
