YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Wednesday had a farewell meeting with Georgian Ambassador Tengiz Sharmanashvili, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The Press Office of the Government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the PM thanked the diplomat for his productive work aimed at the development of Armenian-Georgian state relations, and wished him success in his future endeavors. Also, Abrahamyan noted that the high level of Armenia-Georgia discourse is a strong foundation for the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Ambassador Sharmanashvili, in turn, thanked the Armenian Premier for the effective cooperation. He said that, during his five-year tenure in Armenia, he exerted maximum efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, and that he will contribute to his process in the future, too. The diplomat expressed a conviction that Armenian-Georgian friendship relations will continue to develop.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors exchanged views on the avenues for making relations between he two countries grow deeper, and on several other matters of mutual interest.
