YEREVAN. - There is a viewpoint in Armenia that the only opportunity to get rid of these authorities is terror. Moreover, this viewpoint is gradually getting more rooted.

Head of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan said the aforementioned today at a debate on the draft Electoral Code.

“We will discuss here the question on whether we can initiate something with this regards without a weapon, but ballot boxes. We are trying to save the country from terrorisms,” Zurabyan said.

He also noted that the authorities aren’t against the statement that the results of referendum on the constitutional amendments were rigged, since they themselves understand everything.

In Zurabyan’s words, the situation in Armenia changed after the referendum on constitutional amendments. “Together with all its violations, the referendum played a positive role in our life. Everyone saw the great number of people go to elections, whereas quite different result was announced,” Zurabyan noted.

The opposition MP also reminded that they suggest “clearing” the voter lists and publicizing the lists of those who voted.
