Upon the order of the Turkish authorities, TV channels BUGUN TV and kanalturk, Bugun newspaper and kanalturk radio station, included in Ipek medya group, were shut down.

The workers of the mentioned media outlets were notified that they are sacked from March 1, Cumhuriyet reports.

The mass media administration promised to clear the wage arrears.  

The Turkish authorities accused Ipek medya group of supporting Fethullah Gülen.
