YEREVAN. – According to provisional data, the draft new Electoral Code of Armenia will be put in circulation within the current week.

Gagik Melikyan, Secretary of the Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (NA) Faction, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the respective procedure, first, the draft will be considered in the Government, whereupon it will be submitted to the NA.

Armenia has sent the preliminary version of the new Electoral Code to the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) of the Council of Europe.
