YEREVAN. – Regardless of whether or not the political opposition in Armenia will come together in the ideological domain, it needs to work together in the review and improvement of the Electoral Code of the country.
Vice-chairwoman of the opposition Free Democrats Party, Anush Sedrakyan, noted the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday.
She welcomed the opposition’s consolidation around any proposal to improve the Electoral Code.
“The opposition needs to clearly present the situation to the public, and not give false promises,” Sedrakyan stressed.
She added, however, that the political opposition in Armenia has lacked resources for years on end.
The new Electoral Code of the country shall be adopted by June 1.
