The Turkish authorities continue putting pressure on mass media against supporters of U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gülen, who is the foe of President Tayyip Erdogan.

At the request of a prosecutor, the 6th Administrative Court of Istanbul has appointed a state administrator to run Zaman newspaper, local Milliyet newspaper writes. This process supposes that Zaman will soon be shut down too.

4 media outlets, for which state administrators were also appointed, shut down in connection with Fethullah Gülen a few days before.
