Had Russia not participated in conflict resolution, Syria would have become an Islamic State country, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić stated, according to TASS news agency of Russia.

“If Russia had not intervened in the situation in Syria, today Syria would have repeated the fate of the countries which had not had support,” Nikolić stated.

Also, the Serbian president underscored Russia-US collaboration in establishing peace in Syria.
