One gets the impression that the Turkish leadership is losing the sense of reality, and not solely in foreign but also in domestic policy, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told Kommersant daily newspaper of Russia.

“[Turkish] PM Ahmet Davutoğlu states that the Kurds in Syria are collaborating with Russia today, just like the ‘Armenian gangs’ were collaborating with it at the turn of 20th century,” Nalbandian said. “Such a statement is an alarm signal addressed to the international community as to what could happen to the Kurds.

“It is apparent that little has changed in Turkey’s ruling elite, over the course of 100 years. If Turkey really wants to resolve the [Nagorno-]Karabakh conflict, this will happen if it stays as far away from the [conflict] settlement process as possible.”
