YEREVAN. - The session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Parliamentary Assembly Council will be held in Yerevan on March 11. The meeting will be chaired by the head of State Duma Sergey Naryshkin, Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Eduard Sharmazanov, who is also the spokesperson of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said at a press conference today.

In his words, the session will address the tasks set before the CSTO, fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as the situation in South Caucasus.

“We were informed that the adversary made another infiltration attempt on the Line of Contact. As the head of Armenian delegation to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, I will present our position on this issue. I think the CSTO member-states will confirm the position of the heads of the organization’s member-states, according to which Karabakh conflict should have an exclusively peaceful settlement, and any attempt of a military decision is subject to discussion,” Eduard Sharmazanov said.
