YEREVAN. - Armenian pilots continue working in Sudan, Armenian pilot Vardan Sargsyan told to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent today during the presentation of the new Armenia Airline held in Yerevan.  

“I have been working since 1978, and know nearly everyone. Many of our guys work in Sudan. But, of course, in North Sudan, not the Southern one. They are no longer there after those events in South Sudan (crash of AN-12 and death of the crew in November 2015). But they work in North Sudan, Khartoum. On Boeign and AN-12. They also work in other African countries, but their number is relatively big in Sudan,” he said.

To the question on whether he has informed his colleagues that a new airline company opens in Armenia, and it is possible to fly closer to home, the pilot said: “All our pilots and technicians – even those who are very far – know what is going on here”.
