On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Grant Thornton professional services network of independent accounting and consulting member firms has presented a new report on women’s engagement in leadership positions.

The report data, however, show that Armenia is among the countries where the number of women in leadership positions has reduced.

Accordingly, in the current year, a total of 26 percent of senior management positions in Armenia are held by women; but in 2015, this indicator was 29 percent.

The respective survey, which was conducted among 5,520 businessmen from 36 countries, shows, however, that the number of women in management positions has increased throughout the world, from 22 percent to 24 percent.
