YEREVAN. – When Armenian mining businesses think about international cooperation, hopefully Canada will be the country which comes to their mind, John Kur, Canada’s Ambassador to Armenia—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—said at Monday’s official opening of the Armenia-Canada Mining Forum in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

“In the challenging times to the global mining industry, increasing efficiency of operations is a must,” he added. “This requires a tighter cooperation with providers of technologies on the cutting edge of development, ore extraction, and treatment.

“Canadian companies have always been at the forefront of the industry and are happy to keep on cooperating with Armenian partners.”
