The technical staff of the Hmeymim airbase in Syria started preparing aircrafts for long-lasting flight to the territory of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.

“The technical personnel of the airbase started preparing for long-range flight to the Russian Federation airfields. The staff are loading the equipment, logistic items and inventory into military transport aviation aircraft”, the report said.

In the course of the long-range flight (more than 5,000 km), the aircraft will conduct intermediate flight stops at the Russian Federation airfields for being refueling and technical condition monitoring. The military transport aviation will  accompany them.
