The car exploded as it was being driven in the western Berlin suburb of Charlottenburg on Tuesday 15 March.

According to the police, it is possible that something exploded next to a passing vehicle. The driver was killed. According to preliminary version, the cause of the incident was an explosive, DW reported.

The place of the incident was cordoned off. The police tweeted warning asking the residents of adjacent houses to close windows and not to leave their apartments.
