YEREVAN. – In winter, the majority of Armenian tourists traveled to the United Arab Emirates, especially to Dubai, on vacation.

The General Director of Armenia Travel + M travel agency, Hayk Grigoryan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“In the non-summer season, Armenians [of Armenia] now prefer heading for Dubai, instead of Egypt,” he noted. “It can be said that, after recent events, the number of travelers [from Armenia] to Dubai increased at the expense of Egypt. They are not heading off to Egypt, since there are no charter flights from Armenia.”

In Grigoryan’s words, the majority of Armenian tourists travel to European destinations—toward Greece, Spain, and Bulgaria—primarily in summer. Also, there are charter flights from Armenia to these destinations.
