YEREVAN. - The session of the Armenian National Commission for UNESCO was held in the MFA of Armenia today.

Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian, who is also the National Commission President, chaired the session.

Armenia’s Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan, Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Radik Martirosyan, representatives of the President’s administration and government, as well as Yerevan Municipality and Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin attended the session, Armenian MFA press-service reports.  

During the session, FM Nalbandian summed up the results of last year’s work. For her part, the Minister of Culture presented the cooperation with the UNESCO in the area of culture, also referring to the future initiatives.   

Besides, the Commission members discussed issues related to the cooperation between the agencies, fulfillment of obligations before the company and reinvigoration of Armenia’s activity within UNESCO.
