YEREVAN. – Armenian Genocide anniversary demonstrations also will be held this year in France on April 24, and their theme will be “March of Justice.”

Co-chairman of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF), Mourad Papazian, on Wednesday noted the abovementioned at a press conference in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

“We [i.e. French Armenians] want to show that nothing is finished with the [Genocide] 100th anniversary [in 2015],” he added.

As per Papazian, Armenia’s relations with French President François Hollande have further developed in recent years. In his words, Hollande continues to “support” the Armenian Cause, and this was evidenced by the fact that he was in Armenia on the Armenian Genocide Centennial last year.

“We have developed a fifteen-year relationship with François Hollande,” Mourad Papazian stated. “When he came to power, we had an agreement that he must honor his promises. [But] Turkey set a goal to develop, accelerate relations with France, so that there would be an impression that Hollande ‘sold’ the Armenians, but this is not so.”

He added that the French Armenians are deeply engaged in the Armenian Cause and Turkey realizes this, and therefore it makes major investments in anti-Armenian propaganda.
